Wow, it's hard to believe that I'm leaving for England in four days.  I've only been to one foreign country before, and that was Canada (or, in Robin Williams' words, the loft apartment over a really great party), so this should be pretty exciting.  Six weeks of studying international communication and the legend of King Arthur, visiting historic sites, celebrating Independence Day in England (gotta love the irony of that), and exploring the English countryside.  As long as the classes aren't too hard, it should be an awesome trip.  On a more current note, anyone who hasn't seen "Batman Begins" yet is really missing out.  I've seen it twice so far, and it is definitely the must-see movie of the year.  Great cast, great script, great action, great movie.  Lots of praise to director Christopher Nolan; it's about time someone saved the Batman franchise.  Hopefully there will be more to come.

- This CD is awesome. If you don't have it, you should.

Why can't the Braves bullpen figure out how to pitch?

- The first new DMB release in almost three years...I must recommend the first track, "Dreamgirl." It's a beautiful song. -

Man, my shortened summer just seems to be flying by.  It's hard to believe that I'm going to be leaving for England in a few weeks for study abroad.  How am I going to handle missing out on six weeks of Braves baseball?  I must try to be strong.  June has been pretty crazy so far.  I've celebrated Brett's 21st birthday (a momentous occasion, of course), gone to Athens with Kaitlin, Carter, Callan, and Danielle, gone to Wild Bill's a couple times, and gone to Georgia Southern with Brett (I had a great time there - I think).  Tomorrow night I'm going to see "Batman Begins" at midnight, then this weekend we're going down to Hilton Head.  Then next weekend I want to go to Athens again to celebrate my last weekend in the States.  I'm not really thrilled with the scheduling of this study abroad trip.  If I remember correctly, when I get back there will be less than a week of summer left, which I don't think will be a decent amount of time to say goodbye to people who are leaving.  But I guess it can't be avoided, so I'll just have to make that week count.

So I stayed up all night last night, a) to study for my print media exam, and b) to make sure that i didn't oversleep and miss the exam (that's not paranoia, it's happened before - the power went out in my apartment, so my alarm clock wasn't there to wake me up, causing me to miss my history midterm).  I took my exam at 8 a.m., got back to my apartment at 9 a.m., and fell asleep until 2 p.m.  So only two more exams to go, and then summer vacation is here.  Good times, good times.

Well, I haven't done one of these in a while, but I've got a final at 8 a.m. tomorrow, and I'm looking for ways to avoid studying.  So it's the beginning of May, and the Braves are in first place...booyah!  And to make it even sweeter, the Yankees are in last place.  Haha!  I've been to three Braves games so far this season, and I plan to make that number increase greatly once summer starts.  It's kind of hard to believe that I'm almost halfway done with college.  My dad's been talking about buying a boat, so that could be cool.  It's also cool that Brett turns 21 in less than a month.  I didn't get to help John celebrate his 21st, so I'm going to make sure that we go all out for this one.  I'm talking kegs, strippers, fireworks...well, maybe I'm exaggerating, but it's going to be good.
